The landscape of health services delivery is undergoing significant transformation from fragmented and disease-centred toward integrated people-centred care. Health workers find themselves at the centre this that demands them commensurate changes in skill-set employed day-to-day practice, among other challenges. paper identifies transversal (core) skills are becoming increasingly crucial for all front-line to reap potential benefits care, such as better patient population outcomes, higher productivity, retention/job satisfaction combined themselves. These include interpersonal skills, person-centred communication, interprofessional teamwork, self-awareness socio-cultural sensitivity, well analytical adaptive problem solving devise customised care individual persons, system thinking, openness continuous learning, ability use digital technologies effectively. Recognising need prepare professionals meeting dual challenges technically emotionally complex healthcare workplace a prerequisite building maintaining resilient resourceful workforce.
